Our Meadowbank mine is located in Nunavut Territory of Canada 70 kilometers north of Baker Lake and contains almost 3.5 million ounces of gold reserves. The mine is the first operating gold mine in the history of Nunavut, and is already our largest producer, generating 265,659 ounces of gold in its first year and employing about 500 people.The mine is expected to produce, on average, 297,000 ounces of gold per year throughout the life of mine, estimated to be through 2019.

Summary

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the entitled person will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of equipment connected to the instrumentation and control of the Process Plant

Responsibilities
  • Program, troubleshoot, perform repairs and maintenance on PLC, HMI and process communication network
  • Perform repairs, calibration and maintenance on process instruments
  • Perform repairs and maintenance related to electricity like in motors, transformers, generators and lighting
Qualifications
  • College degree in Instrumentation and Control
  • Five (5) years experience in instrumentation and control
  • Recent experience in PLC and HMI programming is an asset
  • A valid C license is required
  • Aptitude for teamwork and autonomy are assets
