Our Meadowbank mine is located in Nunavut Territory of Canada 70 kilometers north of Baker Lake and contains almost 3.5 million ounces of gold reserves. The mine is the first operating gold mine in the history of Nunavut, and is already our largest producer, generating 265,659 ounces of gold in its first year and employing about 500 people.The mine is expected to produce, on average, 297,000 ounces of gold per year throughout the life of mine, estimated to be through 2019.
Job Title Surveyor Leader
Reports to Superintendent, Engineering
Location Meadowbank

Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, the entitled person supervises and mentors the surveying team and its helpers.

  • Collaborate with the Engineering, Geology and Mine departments to determine their needs in surveying
  • Write monthly reports like the pits volumes and the ore reserves
  • Assist the Surveyors in their work
  • Order material when needed
  • College degree in surveying, civil engineering or mining
  • Four (4) years experience
  • Knowledge of Autocad, Datamine and/or Gemcom is an asset
  • Be autonomous and have good organizasing skills
